Michael Newton

Michael received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Utah in May 2013. As an undergraduate researcher with Dr. Jost O.L. Wendt he developed a temperature controlled ash deposition probe to study ash deposits in a pilot scale oxy-coal combustion furnace.

Patrik Johansson

In 2013, Patrik Johansson earned his M.Sc. in bioengineering from Linköping University, Sweden. He visited NESAC/BIO during Jan - May 2013 and investigated collagen and osteocalcin at various surfaces, for his diploma work.

Yung-Chen Wang

Yung-Chen Wang received his B.S. from University of California, Merced in May 2012. As an undergraduate student, he studied mucus-nanoparticle interaction and stem cell tissue engineering applications under Professor Wei-Chun Chin.

Elisa Harrison

Elisa Harrison received a B.S. from Florida State University in Chemical-Biomedical Engineering in April 2012. She participated in two undergraduate research experiences at FSU including a tissue engineering laboratory under Dr. Teng Ma and a protein engineering laboratory under Dr.

Blake Bluestein

Blake Bluestein received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of New Mexico in May of 2011. As an undergraduate, Blake investigated the temperature-dependent behavior of "smart" polymers to fabricate biocompatible films under Prof. Heather Canavan.
